We got there as an alternative to a cancelled boat booking I made 2 months before our arrival. 4 os us stayed there and the apartment was fantastic. Roof terrace with bbq, Great big and bright space, Clean rooms, Great deco with hammock in the lounge, Fantastic location. This was my 3rd stay in A'dam and probably the best as we discovered the Jordaan area and its cool bars, shops n eateries. We only wished we could have stayed a full week in this flat.

This was my 2nd time within 6 months of returning to Amsterdam and this time I wanted to stay in the Joordan area. My husband and I arrived to El Castillo with no problems. Julius from Direct Stay was wonderful from start to finish and made everything easy for us. Yes, there are many stairs but once we opened the door to the apartment it was like a breath of fresh air. The modern kitchen with the natural decor and relaxing atmosphere is the best! It never felt stuffy or sloppy but just lived in and suited our life as well. The bathrooms are newly renovated and feel spa like. We made our Thanksgiving dinner and had every amenity we needed. Ourselves and the couple who joined us all agreed that we would stay in El Castillo again.
Very good

I've been in Amsterdam many times and I have to agree with Alain that this was at least one of the best of all times. I was there only for one weekend, but it really felt like a trip. We had great weather so we could enjoy the beautiful roof terrace. The interior of the place is also really cosy, it makes you feel right at home. And there is so much space in this enormous living room! Also, there's windows everywhere so there's a lot of light (they all have curtains by the way). The Jordan area has become one of my favorites after this trip, there's so much to do and it's actually right next to the busy city centre, but not quite as crowded. It was a great location. The only down side was: the stairs! You do have to climb a lot, make sure you don't forget something and you have to go back up and get it... Other than that I (we) had a very good time and would recommend this apartment to anyone who appreciates this part of Amsterdam and can climb stairs!
Best

Sofar this was the best apartment we booked in Amsterdam. We thought it was a little bit far out but the location and interiour of this apartment is absolutely great. All we needed was within walking distance. From the terrace there was a great view over the city. Parking was expensive unfortunately. Thanks to dutch hospitality and this apartment , we had a good time. Bye Alain
