Shopping in Amsterdam

Kalverstraat:
Kalverstraat is probably the oldest and most famous shopping street of Holland.
It’s history goes back to the 14th century when this part was transformed into a cow market. The Kalverstraat and it’s surrounding streets Heiligeweg and Spui offer everything in trendy and fashionable clothing, shoes, perfumes, and special gifts and souvenirs.

Magna Plaza:
Just as Paris has it’s Galeries Lafayett, and London has it’s Harrold, so too Amsterdam has it’s Magna Plaza. And if shopping emporiums of international allure demand a prestigious address, then surely the Dutch deserve the honors. Where else would you house more than forty specialty shops, but in a hundred year old monument next door from a palace?

The Museumkwartier:
The museumkwartier is the most fashionable shopping area of Amsterdam. It encompasses shops located at P.C Hoofdstraat, van Baerlestraat and Hobbemastraat. The museumkwartier is especially known for it’s top-of-the-range fashion. Here you will find all the famous international labels like Max Mara, Marina Rinaldi, Giani Versace, Prada, Hugo Boss, Armani and Ermenegildo Zegno. Really shopping in the museumkwartier should be part of your visit to Amsterdam.
